Multimedia Journalist/Anchor
Bria Jones is an eager young journalist looking for her next big opportunity! She just finished a two-year as a Reporter/Fill-in Anchor for KTVE-NBC10 and KARD-FOX14 News in Monroe, Louisiana.
As an Arkansas native with a love for Mississippi --- Bria enjoyed exploring the ArkLaMiss and discovering all of what Northern Louisiana has to offer.
Before moving to the Pelican State, she lived in Memphis, Tennessee where she worked as a Digital Associate Producer at FOX13 Memphis.
Previously, Bria also interned in New York City at the Wendy Williams Show, MTV and VH1 while attending college at St. John's University.
She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated and the National Association of Black Journalist.
THE REASON WHY
Growing up, I always had a passion for writing stories: poems, books, and even mock magazines. It wasn't until high school that I truly realized the purpose of my life. I joined the newspaper club at Cordova High School. Then, I joined The Teen Appeal -- Memphis' youth newspaper. One day my AP World Geography teacher said to me, "When you talk, people listen"-- words that I have never forgotten. He suggested a career in front of the camera. Since then, it was CLEAR what I had to do with my life. Every day I enjoy meeting new people, telling great stories & most importantly connecting with the people who trust me to tell the news of their town. I have made the ArkLaMiss my home. Now, I am ready to tackle my next opportunity.
